Est. 2014 · Cedar Street
A neighborhood coffeehouse pouring single-origin espresso, fresh pastries, and the kind of warm light you want to spend a Saturday in.

Our Story
Cedar & Steam started in 2014 as a single espresso machine tucked behind a flower shop on Cedar Street. Ten years on, we're still on the same block — just with a few more tables, a small roastery in the back, and a deeply caffeinated community to thank for it.
We believe a coffeehouse should feel less like a transaction and more like a living room. Slow service is intentional. Eye contact is the rule. The music is always quieter than you'd expect.
From the Bakery
We partner with six independent bakers across the city. Trays arrive warm, the case is set by 7am, and most days it's empty by noon. Come early, or come hungry.

Stay Awhile
Worn leather chairs, communal oak tables, fast wifi, plenty of outlets, and a no-laptop nook by the window for the readers. Whether you're shipping a deadline or escaping one, the corner is yours.

Loved Locally
"The closest thing my city has to a third place. I write here three mornings a week."
"The cardamom bun is reason enough. The cortado kept me coming back."
"Warm staff, warmer light. I've held two birthdays and a book club here."

Sourcing & Roasting
Every bean we pour is traceable to a farm, a farmer, and a price we paid above market. We roast in small batches each Tuesday on a vintage 12kg drum in the back room. You can usually smell it from the sidewalk.
Long-standing relationships with growers in Ethiopia, Colombia, and Guatemala.
12kg drum, roasted weekly, never sat on shelves longer than 14 days.
Take a bag home — every brew method, dialed in for you at the bar.
Community Board
Live music, cuppings, book swaps, and the occasional surprise. All free or pay-what-you-can. Pull up a chair.
